Check In

  • You'll be able to check into Canal House any time after 3pm by using our secure key safe at the front door. The code for the key safe will be sent in a separate message the day before your arrival.

  • Upon departure, please make sure the house is secure and the keys are put back in the safe and the code scrambled.

  • We politely request that you leave the property clean and tidy.

Parking

  • If you are arriving by train, the front door to the property is just a 2 minute walk from the station: walk straight up City Road (opposite the exit of the station) until you reach the house on the right hand side just before the bridge.

  • If you are arriving by car, you may want to drop your bags first by driving to the front door on City Road (CH1 3AE) because the postcode of the property will take you instead to Leadworks Lane.

  • To park in the allocated car park on Ledworks Lane, drive to the property postcode (CH1 3BL). Keeping the canal on your right, you will soon reach a small gated car park on the right.

  • Your allocated space is in the right corner and is marked with a 'Canal House Parking' sign. Please only use this space. Please make sure you close the gates after you to prevent the fly tipping issue we have had previously.

  • If you have more than one car, there is free parking on City Road in the evenings, and 24hr car parks near by (the closest being the Town Crier car park at £10 per 24hrs, and the train station car park).

  • To get to the house from the car park, turn right out of the gates and go up the steps onto the bridge. Turn right and the house is the first on the right (through a little gate and over a platform to the front door marked ‘Canal House’). Please do not use the neighbours gardens to get from the car park to the house under any circumstances!

Bins

  • Black bin bags can be put in any of the wheelie bins in the car park. Please make sure all rubbish is bagged up and put into a wheelie bin rather than left next to it.

  • Please ensure you recycle cardboard, glass and plastic at the recycling centre across the road from the car park.

  • The bins will be put out by the cleaners on bin day.

  • We politely ask that when/after you use the showers in both bathrooms, you open the windows to allow ventilation.

  • Any other information and recommendations can be found in our Welcome Book in the property.

  • One important thing that we do ask, is that you respect our neighbours by not being noisy during the evenings/nights given that all of our properties are located in residential areas.
